The MSCC Open and the final round of the South German Championship were held on February 25-26 in Althengstett, a small town near Stuttgart. All together over 100 racers attended and the MSCC prepared a very fast and big indoor track. The organisation was top notch, there was good inexpensive food at the track, and even the timetable was held perfectly. At the drivers meeting, everybody was welcomed with a glass of champagne because the MCSS was celebrating its 10th birthday. Very cool… where else do you get something like that?

The race started with three rounds of controlled practice. Team XRAY was represented by Thomas GĂĽnsel and Alexander Stocker followed by a lot of other XRAY drivers. The T2 worked perfectly right from the start.

From the beginning, Alex Stocker set the pace in the modified class but was followed closely by Felix Bischoff.
In the last qualification round Alexander Stocker showed the potential of the T2 by setting a new lap record and secured his pole position with the first and only 27 lap run of the weekend. Second was youngster Felix Bishoff with his Tamiya 415 MSX, followed by Bernhard Bopp with his Cyclone car.

First Final
Alex Stocker hit a curb at the first corner, giving Felix Bischoff the possibility to take first place. But after a small mistake from Felix Bischoff it was again Alex who took the lead and he kept it until the end. Felix had some problems with his Tamiya and had to retire, and so Steffen Leinburger took second place.

Second Final
Right from the start Alex and Felix opened a gap ahead of the followers. Alex had a very fast and clean run and in the end won the final 5 seconds ahead of Felix Bischoff, thus securing the overall win. Steffen Leinburger came in third.

Alex decided to try a slightly different setup which turned out to be a little faster but also a bit more tricky to drive. Through some mistakes of Alex, Felix Bischoff got into the lead and won the third final closely followed by Alex and Eric Dankel (who drove his T2 for the first time).
